Peace Unity Foundation Background

The Peace Unity Foundation emphasises the universal principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values that originate from God the Parent of humankind. Based on these principles we hope to work together with people all races and religions to build a world of peace. We focus on educational programs that explain these original principles as a first step toward this goal and then work together to promote sustainable economic and social development. The members and families of the Peace Unity Foundation are motivated and inspired by their founders, Father and Mother Moon to reach out to their fellow brothers and sisters throughout the world to share their spiritual and worldly blessings. The work in Zambia began through the pioneering work of a Dutch family, Frans and Elizabeth Baatenburg. In 2019 they started reaching out to the villages in the Kasenengwa area, after the approval and support of his Royal Highness Chief Mishoro and his wife. They were supported by Dawson Lupili and his wife Severine. Due to very positive response from the leaders of the area and the villages that were visited, the work was further expanded by Dawson, who travelled many miles in order to reach out the the villages of the chiefdom. Later Felix Chanda became part of the local team and started work as a lecturer supported by his wife Florence. Through his outreach and with the support of the local leaders, many villagers received training and education. We also receive much support from Nicola Chisha who is responsible for the educational programs in eastern Africa.
